چکیده
Civet coffee is the world’s most expensive and rarest bean. Indonesia was first country to be identified as origin of civet coffee. First, it produced spontaneously by collecting feces from plantations near forest. Due limited stock, farmers began cultivating civets obtain safe supplies Based on this, can divided into two types: wild fed. A combination spectroscopy chemometrics used evaluate authenticity with high speed precision. In this study, seven samples different regions were analyzed using NIR Spectroscopy various preparations: unroasted, roasted, unground, ground. The spectroscopic data combined unsupervised exploratory methods (hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) principal component (PCA)) supervised classification (support vector machine (SVM) random forest (RF)). HCA results showed a trend between roasted unroasted beans; meanwhile, PCA based bean regions. Combining SVM leave-one-out-cross-validation (LOOCV) successfully differentiated 57.14% in all sample groups (unground, ground, unroasted–unground, roasted–unground), 78.57% 92.86% roasted–ground, 100% unroasted–ground. However, Boruta filter, accuracy increased 89.29% for samples, 85.71% unground unroasted–ground, roasted–ground. Ultimately, RF grouped samples. general, roasting grinding before improved differentiating feeding Spectroscopy.

Chemometric models for the quantitative descriptive sensory analysis of Arabica coffee beverages using near infrared spectroscopy.
Mathematical models based on chemometric analyses of the coffee beverage sensory data and NIR spectra of 51 Arabica roasted coffee samples were generated aiming to predict the scores of acidity, bitterness, flavour, cleanliness, body and overall quality of coffee beverage. Partial least squares (PLS) were used to construct the models. The ordered predictor selection (OPS) algorithm was applied ...
متن کاملNondestructive Firmness Estimation of Tomato Fruit Using Near-Infrared Spectroscopy
Today, nondestructive methods are widely used to determine the quality of agricultural products. Meanwhile, visible and near-infrared (Vis/NIR) spectroscopy is regarded as one of the most widely used methods in the field of quality assessment of agricultural products. In this study, a system was developed to measure the Vis/NIR spectra of tomato fruit samples in the half-transmittance mode of m...
متن کاملPrediction of Freshness Quality and Phosphate Residue of White Shrimp Products Using Near-Infrared Spectroscopy
Background: The manufacturing of frozen shrimp is an important industry for the economy of Thailand. The objective of this study was to use Near-Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy to determine the freshness quality, including Total Volatile Basic Nitrogen (TVB-N) and Water Holding Capacity (WHC) of white shrimp (whole and chopped shrimp) and phosphate residues of shrimp. Methods: Sixty white shrimp ...
متن کاملEstimating Nitrogen and Acid Detergent Fiber Contents of Grass Species using Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy (NIRS)
Chemical assessments of forage clearly determine the forage quality; however, traditional methods of analysis are somehow time consuming, costly, and technically demanding. Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy (NIRS) has been reported as a method for evaluating chemical composition of agriculture products, food, and forage and has several advantages over chemical analyses such as conducting c...
متن کاملDetermining Blood Glucose Concentration using Near Infrared Spectroscopy: Early Findings
Introduction: Diabetes mellitus is one of the diseases that have grown dramatically in today's societies. People with diabetes should continuously measure their blood glucose level. Continuous blood glucose measurement by commonly used methods is painful and difficult. On the other hand, mobile phone can be a useful tool for accessing physicians and telemedicine services more easily. The aim of...
